Application - Trainable Vision Inspects Bottle Cap Placement
Trainable vision is very good for the inspection of bottle cap placement. This example shows that, with a backlight, the vision system can be trained in seconds and then deployed for effective inspection. In this example, the vision system is detecting cocked and loose caps, PC-Eyebot can detect as little as 1/4 turn loose!
Step One: Set up backlight and camera. Set Video Threshold so a sillouette of the bottles is imaged.
Step Two: Train on several good examples of acceptable bottles. This often only takes only seconds!
Step Three: Place into Inspection Mode. Now the vision system detects even slight misplacment of the bottlec caps: cocked, broken, or as little as 1/4 turn loose.
This image shows acceptable bottles with a PASS indication. We have shown that 3 easy steps completely programs the trainable vision system - the PC-Eyebot.
